September 2016: Students of Class 3-5 and Class 6-10 made different type of string art on soft and wooden board respectively. During this activity, students learn to use carpentry skills along with creative designing with straight lines.
String art is characterized by an arrangement of colored thread strung between points to form geometric patterns or representational designs such as logos, paintings, faces or other creative graphical images. Thread, wire, or string is wound around a grid of nails hammered into a wooden board. It can be interpreted as a more skilled and practical version of connecting dots to complete picture. Kids have the scope of showing their creativity and skills in this project.
