Staying put to this belief, Technoplanet is proud to add another event jewel to its crown. Skill Camp for Teachers 2019 (4th Edition) was organized at Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies on the 4th of May, 2019.
The objective of the camp was to extend our expertise in STEM education and practical training to teachers and schools outside the Technoplanet family, to help others benefit from the same too. While conventional methods of imparting knowledge struggle to keep up with the ever-changing technology and the way it influences and provides students whatever knowledge they seek to have, STEM education stands leagues apart and provides a student his/her fair share of exposure, that is a pre-requisite in today’s world.
STEM is an acronym for S- Science, T- Technology, E-Engineering and M- Mathematics. Regardless of a child’s stream, it’s education is a compulsion so as to make him/her street smart and provide basic knowledge of this technology laden world. Technoplanet course modules are designed in a similar fashion as they full fill the generation’s need viz-a-viz making learning innovative and fun. This was a similarly structured single day certified training, where teachers from 30 schools across North India participated.
They were exposed to various new upcoming technologies like 3D printing, circuit designing and 3D designing software, Fusion 360°, etc.
After the tutorials, they were assigned to the task to design a Smart Pot that could check and indicate water levels using RGB lights. The pot was a combination of a measuring device, indication light and the container itself. As directed earlier. Teachers designed the structures using Fusion 360° software. Then using the training imparted they made the circuit for the measuring device and assembled it under the skillful guidance of our trainers. After the assembling the whole unit, everyone’s happiness knew no bounds as they demonstrated their fully functional models.
This activity also provided an opportunity for the teachers to interact, involve among themselves and network for future references or purposes. They understood the importance of practical knowledge, how essential it is to be imparted and its implementation at the school level for a better upbringing of the present generation.
After a brief discussion on the project and its motives, it was time to reward teachers for their dedication and their urge to plunge into this new yet very imperative methodology of teaching. This was done by according certificates for the same.
In the concluding hours, the teachers feasted on a visit around Technoplanet lab and headquarters. With a will to extend this enchanting experience to their students for a more innovative and creative future of our nation, everyone left determined.
